Elizabeth Gould, Ph.D.
Distinguished Investigator
Elizabeth Gould, Ph.D., is a Professor of Psychology and Neuroscience at Princeton University. Gould received her training in Neuroscience and Neuroendocrinology at UCLA and The Rockefeller University. For more than 15 years, she has been studying the interaction between hormones, experience and structural plasticity in the adult brain. Her focus has been on understanding the effects of stress and enriching experiences on neurogenesis, dendritic remodeling and synaptogenesis in adult brains with a view toward elucidating the influence of structural change on cognitive function and anxiety regulation.
