Eleonore Real, Ph.D.
Young Investigator

Dr. Eleanore Real received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry at the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Chimie de Montpellier, France and her Ph.D. degree in biochemistry from Univesity Jussieu-Diderot Paris, France. She currently is a postdoctoral fellow at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, NY, in the laboratory of Dr. Robert Malinow. Dr. Real’s research interests are in understanding the molecular mechanisms controlling AMPA receptors trafficking during synaptic plasticity. These studies will focus on several protein partners of the AMPA receptors and will combine two-photon microscopy and post-embedding immunocytochemistry electron microscopy studies.
