Christopher R. Bowie, Ph.D. (Young Investigator 2007) of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, aims to determine if effects of cognitive remediation and skills acquisition training result in specific or generalized effects. Dr. Bowie also seeks to determine whether these effects generalize to functional outcomes. Results from his study may provide new insights in treating cognitive dysfunction in individuals with schizophrenia so they can lead a more independent life.
