Kristy L. Dalrymple, Ph.D. (Young Investigator 2007) of Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University, seeks to examine the efficacy of Integrated Behavior Therapy (IBT), an intervention designed to address both principal MDD and secondary SP in addition to treatment to medication. Dr. Dalrymple will conduct a randomized controlled trial and compare patients receiving medication plus 16 sessions of IBT to those receiving medication alone. She hypothesizes that patients receiving medication plus IBT will demonstrate superior improvement in MDD and SP and less functional impairment (e.g., work and social functioning) at post-treatment and follow-up assessments compared to those receiving medication alone. Program Area: MULTIPLE FOCUS\Anxiety Disorders/Mood Disorders\Anxiety Disorders/Unipolar |
